Italian Sausage Sandwiches
This, my carnivorous friends, is a serious meal on a bun! If you love a run-down-your-arm Italian sausage sandwich, this recipe is for you. As I told my girls, there ain't no polite way to eat this. You just get a roll of paper towels, roll up your sleeves and get it in that hole under your nose however you have to. Of course, this would undoubtedly be better with grilled sausages, but I stayed indoors this time.

Longboard Burgers
As the name implies, here's my version of a California burger. It's a half-pound burger on a rustic roll, topped with melted pepper-jack cheese, grilled onion slices, and lots of chunky funky guacamole. I'll admit that, seasonally speaking, this is probably a little premature, but the mood hit me and I went with it.

Monster Onion Bacon Burgers
Last night I had a request from my wife. She asked for burgers with grilled onions and jack cheese, and with a side of sweet potato fries. I was happy to oblige, and I added bacon. That's very rarely a bad move. OK, a burger is a burger, right? Wrong! A burger is only as good as what it's made of. My blend of choice is half sirloin and half chuck. I've found this to be a great mix of flavor and juiciness. If you can't find or identify either of these, ask your butcher.
