The Ultimate Thanksgiving Turkey Brine

I'm a huge fan of brining poultry! I've used brines for years, both on the competition BBQ circuit and at home, and I'm convinced that it's one of the best things you can do for a turkey, or really any of our fowl friends.

If you've never brined a bird, you're missing out! Brining adds moisture, boosts flavor, and seasons the meat well beyond the surface. Better yet, that extra moisture gives you a little insurance against the dreaded dry, balsa-wood-like white meat that has ruined many a Thanksgiving dinner.

Over the years, this recipe has become a perennial favorite among many online BBQ folks. It's simple, reliable, and produces a beautifully seasoned, juicy turkey that will, hopefully, have folks telling you it's the best turkey they've ever had.

Whether you're smoking, roasting, or grilling your Thanksgiving bird, this brine is a great place to start. Give it a try; your guests will thank you!
